July 17 – Constitution Day 

(Jeheonjeol)

Constitution Day commemorates 

the promulgation of the Constitution of the Republic of Korea 

on July 17, 1948. 

It recognizes the foundation of Korea's constitutional 

democracy and the values of freedom, democracy, 

and the rule of law.

Please note that 

the Houston Korean Education Center 

will be closed in observance of Constitution Day.
