HKEC Joins North America
Korean Education Meeting in New Jersey
The Houston Korean Education Center (HKEC) took part in
a meeting held in New Jersey with
Director Sul Se-hoon of the Planning and Coordination Division of
Korea's Ministry of Education, along with
officials from the International Korean Education Foundation,
the National Association for Korean Schools (NAKS),
the Superintendent of New Jersey schools, and directors of
Korean Education Centers from across the United States,
to discuss ways to advance
Korean language education in North America.
The discussion covered strategies to improve
the quality of Korean language education across the region,
as well as ways to strengthen support for
Korean schools throughout the U.S.
Participants agreed to continue working together
to broaden access to Korean language and culture education,
helping to create an environment where the next generation
of the Korean American community can naturally engage
with Korean language and culture.
HKEC will continue to build on this collaboration
with partner organizations to strengthen its Korean language programs
and expand support for Korean schools going forward.
