Korea's cultural and economic influence is shaping the globalized world more than ever.
As a result of significant cooperation from the Houston Institute of Education, and high demand, UH has announced that from the fall of 2022, UH will begin offering Korean language and Korean culture.
Soon UH students will be able to listen to K-pop and start watching K-drama in the original.
Also, The Department of Modern and Classical Languages at the University of Houston is hiring a full time lecturer of Korean to teach language and culture courses at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum.

Beginning Korean I (MCL 1501) – MW 10am-12pm, F 11-12pm
Beginning Korean I (MCL 1501) – TTh 2:30-5pm
Korean Culture (WCL 3397: 23690) – MW 2:30-4pm

The Department of Modern and Classical Languages at the University of Houston is hiring a full time lecturer of Korean to teach language and culture courses at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum.

Qualifications
A master's degree and experience teaching Korean at the college level is preferred. Native or near-native proficiency in Korean required. While we expect that instruction will be face-to-face this fall, experience with online teaching is desirable. This position is contingent upon enrollment and funding.
Ability to also teach in our comparative World Cultures and Literatures program is preferred.
