Semester Korean Language Classes Registration Information
The Houston
Korean Education Center (HKEC) is pleased to offer evening Korean language
classes for adults. Registration for the 2026 Spring Semester Korean Language
Courses will be open from December 1 (Mon) to December 26 (Fri), 2025.

📌 Step 1. Placement Test
Class placement is based on your self-assessment
results submitted through the Google Form. Once registration is completed, refunds and level changes are limited, so please review your level selection carefully.
*Note that ASTC and
HKEC are separate institutions, and transfers between them are not permitted.
If you are a complete beginner or scored below 70 on the level test 1, please register for class 1 via ASTC through the link.

📢 Class Placement & Refund Policy
Class placement is based on your

-❗ASTC Classes (Level 1)
Tuition fees are non-refundable and ASTC maintains its own refund
policy.
- ‼️ HKEC Classes (Levels 2–6)
A 10% deduction applies beginning Week 2. After Week
2, tuition fees are non-refundable.
Transfers between
levels within HKEC (Levels 2–6) are allowed until Week 4 only.
📌 Step 2. Registration and Payment
✒️Level 1 (Beginner) — Registration & payment via Asia Society Texas
- Level 1 is offered at the Asia
Society Texas Center.
Please register directly through the Asia Society Texas
website:
- Asia Society will contact you directly about Google form,
parking, materials, and classroom location.
* Note: The Houston Korean Education Center does not collect tuition
for Level 1 classes.
✒️Levels 2–6 (In-person & Online) — Registration via HKEC & payment via Venmo
- Classes
for Levels 2–6 are offered at HKEC or via Zoom. Registration is managed
directly through the HKEC.
- Priority
registration(Dec 1~7) will
first be granted to current students.(with more than 50%
attendance)
Completing the Google form and payment
automatically confirms your spot.
- For new/returning students, registration will
be confirmed after Dec 8.(HKEC will contact you)
- Your registration
is confirmed only after both the Google Form and the course payment
have been completed.
