HKEC's Fall 2026

Culture Night Featured in

Korean Journal Houston

Houston Korean Education Center (HKEC) held its Fall 2026 Culture Night at Asia Society Texas Center, and Korean Journal Houston has covered the event!

About 100 adult Korean language students learned about traditional Korean knots (maedeup) and made their own dongsimgyeol, a knot that symbolizes "two people united as one." Instructors in Jeonbuk, Korea, joined us live over Zoom.

Through events like this, HKEC will continue to support students in understanding Korean culture and staying motivated to learn Korean.

Thank you to our partners, the Jeonbuk State Institute for International Cooperation Promotion and Asia Society Texas Center.
